I know this is hopelessly out of date but I saw Eliot’s comment and I wanted to clarify. The author of the quote is Will Rogers. The best part about that quote is that it is from 1935.

I understand (but don’t necessarily support) anybody but republicans concept, I just don’t see how the democrats offer anything better. different -maybe, better- not so much. My personal opinion is that it doesn’t really matter who the president is. So I leave the voting to people who care.

I’ve said for years that “Democrat”, post-Clinton, can only be defined as “not Republican”. I suppose one might add “and understands the US electoral system well enough not to vote for a party that doesn’t matter”. That said, I agree on the Moldy Cheese. Or Christopher Walken.
